God of Life

Phinushka is the primordial deity embodying the cyclical dance of life, governing the raw aspects and untamed forces of nature. They represent the endless process of life, death and rebirth. With them embodying the aspect of evolution, as life seeks to endlessly strive towards perfection.

Origins

Before Time: In the days of yore, before time and names possessed meaning, the battle between dark and light ravaged the cosmos. Planes were eradicated in complete darkness whilst others smoldered under scorching light. Amongst these clashes caused a large fragment to scatter off into the corners of the cosmos. There it grew to think, and contemplate. Becoming one of the first amongst the shards to grow consciousness. Being able to contemplate the cosmos, yet not feel the world it existed within. The shard witnessed as lesser, smaller things grew in the space between light and dark. Mortal life sprouted upon the many planes of existence. Only to see in horror as mere moments later the plane decimated into raw substance to be consumed by the progenitors. Sadness and jealousy of life, this shard took root upon the concept of life itself.

Being one of the first shards to discover the act of merging oneself to a concept within the cosmos, they were one of the first to experience form and ego. With the constant destruction and creation of life across the cosmos, it tore at the fragment. Resulting in their identity never truly settling upon one ideal. Becoming a cyclical representation of the four seasons mortals come to know to this day. In truth it is nothing more than the trauma experienced by the fragment.

This act of constant anguish, to feel the raw destruction the two progenitors wrought made it easy when the other fragments came to form the pantheon. Joining alongside their kin, they engaged in a long horrible struggle against the progenitors. Resulting in the destruction of countless worlds and untold life. With the eventual subduing of the progenitors allows for the fragment to find some solace. The war had only deepened their wounds more. Seeking recluse and comfort the fragment nurtured themselves upon a realm.

As the fragment grew into their concept more, the realm in which they grew to embody their vision, their goal. Giving way to an ego to form, as they held sway. Shaping and transforming the realm to their desire. Granting stability to a realm and the wider cosmos at large. This reach extends into the mortal world. With these acts the fragment ego grew to encompass a name Phinushka.

Phinushka remained upon this realm, watching with quiet awe as the mortal world flourished and expanded beyond their direct influence. Though separate from the mortal world by the veil between planes, faint traces of their ego crept through into the mortal world. Subtle influences to instill their sense of ego upon the mortal world.

Phinushka watched as life struggled and evolved against the struggles of the world. Even in the wake of the cataclysmic war of light and dark, pantheon verse progenitors. Life endured just as they had. Their wounds mend just as life flourished. Watching as entire ecosystems formed and struggled, withering so another may bloom.

With all great fascinations, their awe turned to ire.

Amongst the mortal life, Phinushka grew to love and watch with silent acceptance. Some began to leave the bosom of life, embracing sciences, magics and that which defiled the very core of Vaelthyr’s concept. Those who would seek to subjugate the land, use stone, forge steel. Making civilizations, farm life and that which was against the constant chaotic struggle of life.

Phinushka would continue to watch as slowly the mortals drifted farther and farther from the empirical truth they sprang from. They too, just as Phinushka had once done. Had developed their own ego, seeking to dominate the ever changing life around them. Phinushka fascination lingered, but now with the growing resentment as the advancement of mortals continued.

FORM
Phinushka is depicted as a mixture of fauna and animal with an overall humanoid appearance. All aspects of life embody this god, as they can be seen during the summer time being in full bloom. Whilst in the winter they are hollow and sunken. Just like all life Phinushka evolves, their form changing every so often to mimic some aspect of life they find fascinating, some facet of evolution to copy from.

The Evergrowth
A paradise of life and evolution. Crafted from the god Phinushka, it represents the concepts they embedded into. As life is ever sprawling upon the plane. Whilst it holds many names, the mortals know it as the Evergrowth. A place where only nature is allowed to flourish. The rejection of science and foreign magics, as the realm is safe guarded by demi-god children and by Phinushka themself. Daring none to trample upon their concept of life.

The realm is in a constant state of evolution, with ecosystems never in a state of peace. Predators eating prey, plants fighting amongst one another for survival amidst differentiating conditions. All struggling for survival, and life changing to the constant throws of the environment. Just as the mortal world has seasons so too does the Evergrowth. A lingering scar from the war against the progenitors the realm shifts and turns every twenty-five mortal years into a new dominant season. Winters upon the Evergrowth, mean life stagnates, dies and hibernates. Then in the spring time new life is created and molded, given way by the old and dying.

One could walk forever within dense jungle just to find themselves about to enter a frozen landscape. Or one second in a desert, to a lush plain full of grazing herbivores. Yet like all planes, there is a center. For the Evergrowth, the center is a near perfect garden of life where at the center a large hollow tree resides. With the god Phinushka residing within, their roots stretching across the plane and the cosmos itself so they may watch as countless worlds and countless life struggle in the ever existing state of evolution. Though only those who are truly welcomed into the realm can ever find the center of this realm.
